Causes Of Accident


A) Human factors
  1. Over speeding.
  2. Dangerous overtaking / Lane cutting.
  3. Drunken driving.
  4. Over crowding and over loading.
  5. Lack of driving skills and inadequate knowledge of traffic discipline.
  6. Fatigue of drivers.
  7. Work parking of vehicles.
  8. Non use of protective gear i.e. Helmets, Seat belts etc.

B) Weather Conditions

  1. Fog / Rain.
  2. Extream heat causing tyre burst.

C) Other factors
  1. Stray animals.
  2. Fault of pedestrians.
  3. Falling of boulders/landslides etc.
  4. Traffic Jams.

D) Enforcement

  1. Lack of traffic personnel / RTO, non-manning of important point points and lax supervision and enforcement of Motor Vehicles Act provisions.
